PACK your knives, er, your bags, and come with us to the nation's Capitol! Sources close to CITYPEEK tell us that TOP CHEF SEASON 7 2010, airing on BRAVO TV, is said to be heading to WASHINGTON DC. We also learned that their home perch, where the TOP CHEF DC participants will sleep, will most likely be in the heart of DUPONT CIRCLE. Dupont Circle in DC is central to many great locations, restaurants--shooting begins April 2010. Top Chef has skyrocketed the careers of some local DC-area born chefs in recent years:

The DC area hosts a 40,000 SF WHOLE FOODS, the largest WHOLE FOODS in the DC area on P Street. This is the shopping market of choice for the show. It is located in the heart of DC, an understated, yet highly regarded foodie capitol. Not to mention the sites of DC and location is quite patriotic! Oh, and the OBAMAS are noted foodies who love to go out and eat in their city.

Just an aside, MTV just hosted it's 20-something reality TV show THE REAL WORLD in DC.
