RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION OF Maryland Awards-Online Voting Now Open Dining Public Encouraged to Cast Votes  for Favorite Local Restaurant, Chef, Bar or Tavern,  Wine & Beverage Program, “Green” Restaurant and More!

The Restaurant Association of Maryland is excited to announce the finalists for the highly anticipated  (Logo courtesy of Natty Boh Gear )“Stars of the Industry” Awards sponsored by McCormick and Company.  The awards honor the Maryland hospitality industry’s best in categories such as Maryland’s Favorite New Restaurant, Chef of the Year, Caterer of the Year and more.  Winners of these prestigious awards will be revealed at the 56th RAM “Stars of the Industry” Awards Gala on Monday, April 26, 2010.

“The Stars of the Industry Awards Gala is truly a celebration of what members of this industry do everyday in their kitchens, dining rooms and the very communities which they serve,” said Paul Hartgen, president & CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. “Industry members work long hours, often six, seven days a week to ensure operations are running smoothly for their guests. It’s a very special evening when once a year so many members of this extraordinary business can come together and celebrate the best of the best!”

Members of the dining public are encouraged to visit www.marylandrestaurants.com/stars  to cast votes for their favorite nominees.  Competition is steep: in the past, more than 30,000 votes per year have been collected. Voting will continue until March 23, 2010.
