The Lower Shore Red Cross Chapter's FASHION EMERGENCY Fashion & Art Luncheon will be held Feb. 24th at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City. This fabulous afternoon launches www.redcrossgoespink.com and the Society of Women Leaders Lower Shore. The afternoon celebrates "ALL THAT WOMEN LOVE"...Art, Music, Fashion, Pink Martini's & Paper Dolls. The Fashion & Art Luncheon features a juried Art Exhibit sponsored by the Art League of Ocean City, a Chinese Auction for shopping, a fabulous CAbi designer Fashion Show, a signature Stoli pink, great music and a delicious PINK gift for every guest. The fashion show is NY Runway style. Thirty of the luncheon tables will be adorned with 30' high, one-of-a-kind "Paper Doll" mannequin centerpieces created by renown local artists. Every Paper Doll center piece is an original work of art and will be auctioned off at a cocktail reception at the Galaxy 66 Bar & Grille, in Ocean City, on March 12th.
The Society was created for women by women of the Lower Shore Red Cross Chapter, with the following goals 1) To Gather and Celebrate the extraodinary acheivemnets of ordinary women in our area 2) To provide busy women a relaxed, social forum to gather, network, share their talents & support one anothers philanthropic endeavors 3) And to encourage all women to empower themselves and their families through learning basic Red Cross lifesaving skills so that when there is an emergency or a disaster, they can help save a life.
Proceeds from the FASHION EMERGENCY will benefit the Lower Shore Red Cross Chapter to support it's Humanitarian mission. During the event, organizers will welcome all attendees into the Society of Women Leaders and in a special celebration, 5 local women will be honored for their acheivements.
