It’s January and we’re getting into the winter doldrums. The holidays are over, but we’re still a bit wound up and exhausted from all that the holidays challenge us with. Even as we set resolutions at the beginning of the New Year, by the middle of January they begin to fade in our minds. So let this workshop be an opportunity to reconnect to the sweetness within, so that rather than letting the currents of the New Year overtake us, we channel the current with hip opener, twists and pranayama. Ultimately, we will use these poses to prepare the body for brief moments of mediation and reflection. This practice can simply be a way to teach your body to sit for longer periods of time or to return to re-energize stagnant energy in the body, unwinding not only on the physical level, but also unwinding your mind!
