Tropicana Atlantic City will hold its third annual Beer and Whiskey Festival in the Grand Exhibition Center on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. While sampling a wide selection of beer and whiskey, guests will enjoy artisan crafters and live entertainment featuring The GoodMan Fiske Band.

 

Tropicana’s Beer and Whiskey Festival will showcase over 60 beers including, craft, domestic and imported, in bottle and drafts, as well as 30 whiskeys. Food, including pretzels, will be for sale. Tickets for the event will include a tasting glass.

Maryland Humanities welcomes Tim Junkin to discuss his award-winning book, BLOODSWORTH: THE TRUE STORY OF THE FIRST DEATH ROW INMATE EXONERATED BY DNA EVIDENCE, answer questions, and sign books. Mr. Junkin will make eight stops throughout the state. All tour events are free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. This free assessment from the National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware (NKF-MD-DE) uses a simple Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, blood pressure measurement and a short questionnaire to make participants aware of their risk factors for chronic kidney disease. Participants will receive brief consultations with physicians and dietitians to learn about kidney disease, as well as general nutrition and wellness guidelines.
