Join us for the 18th annual Legacy Chase at Shawan Downs. Set in Maryland’s picturesque horse country, Legacy Chase is GBMC’s signature event benefiting its oncology services and patient support programs. Fill up your car with family and friends, pack a cooler and picnic and spend a day in the warm September sun for this homecoming of the GBMC community.

Legacy Chase offers something for everyone:

Support The Children’s Home – a 501 (c) 3 organization committed to fostering statewide crisis intervention services for youths ages 13 to 21 – at its signature fundraiser.

A repeatedly sold out event with over 300 guests, Flip Flop Festivus offers an elegant night on the town in a resort casual atmosphere. Past attendees have included former professional athletes and media personalities such as Qadry Ismail, Brad Jackson, Gheorghe Muresan, Harvey Grant, Walt Williams, Matt Stover and Mike McCrary.

You will help provide world-class care for all kids – regardless of a family’s ability to pay – when you participate in the Race for Every Child. Children’s National, the region’s only pediatric health system, is hosting its annual 5K run/walk and Kids Dash on Saturday, October 20, at Freedom Plaza. The Race for Every Child unites families, weekend joggers, serious runners, and all members of the community around a common vision: to help children grow up stronger.  

Philly Fights Cancer: Round 4 will once again pack a punch on Saturday, November 10th at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. This year’s event will feature a performance by comedy icon Jerry Seinfeld, followed by a concert from internationally acclaimed Grammy-winning pop superstars Maroon 5.
