Pierpoint opened with the concept of serving Modern Maryland cuisine, at a time when the local cuisine restaurants were dwindling, and Chef Nancy Longo wanted to offer a modern more healthy approach to Maryland cuisine, as well as create new Maryland classics- such as her Smoked Maryland crabcake now known and shipped Globally and Maryland Southern Fried Chicken. A favorite of some RAVENS players seen on site dining!

Saw Pierpoint on Citypeek and I'd read about Nancy Longo since I moved to Baltimore. Loved it. Great bar, great wine list, always love La Crema on a wine list. The Lamb was brilliant, the pumpkin 'pier'ogies were great and the talk of the table.

Chef Nancy Longo opened Pierpoint in 1989 to immediate raves, and the praise has continued from such publications as Zagat Survey, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Saveur, The New York Times and from noted food critic Mimi Sheraton, who gave Pierpoint three stars. Four years ago, Nancy was a regional winner of the Iowa Pork Producers Council recipe contest. After graduating from Baltimore's International Culinary College in 1983, Nancy worked her way to restaurant chef and owner. Along the way, she also began Chocolate Ware, which produces edible chocolate silverware. She authored a cookbook, Predominately Fish, in 1987, and in 1992, founded Save the Chesapeake to help raise funds to clean Chesapeake Bay. Nancy has been the subject of an ABC Prime Time Live segment and a guest on the Food Network. She was the only chef to appear at the Congressional/HAACP hearings on safe food-handling and seafood inspection. For the last 10 years, Nancy has been preparing a dinner for Our Daily Bread soup kitchen in Baltimore, where even Pope John Paul II came to serve a meal.

Anyone new to cooking requires recipes they can follow to prepare healthy meals, and if those meals include organic ingredients, having one or more organic recipe books will make cooking tasty side dishes and main courses a lot easier. Anyone using organic ingredients in standard recipes may discover that they need to modify the recipes to accommodate the richer flavors. Recipes created and perfected by long time organic cooks take advantage of the fuller flavors and higher nutritional values of organic foods. You don't need local business reviews to skyrocket your business. You can start slow and if your products are good then it will grow naturally.

Excellent. Highly recommend. I didnt give it 5 stars, but if I could have, I would have given it 4-1/2.
