Maritime Magic 2009, presented by Merritt Properties, will take place Friday, October 2nd, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Douglass-Myers Maritime Park. Enjoy great food catered by more than 50 of Baltimore’s most popular restaurants, accompanied by beer, wine, special liquor samples, soft drinks, and a cash bar. Maritime Magic always has awesome music and this year will be no exception with the legendary New Riders of the Purple Sage! Opening act will be the Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band, and the Warren Wolf Jazz Ensemble will be playing indoors. Come in casual, festive attire and enjoy a pleasant evening under the stars with a great view of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Celebrating 24 years of serving youth, young adults and the community, Maritime Magic is a benefit in support of the innovative hands-on education, job-training and community service programs provided by the Living Classrooms Foundation. Living Classrooms works primarily with youth and young adults living in high-risk environments in Baltimore City, Washington, DC, and surrounding counties. Living Classrooms gives youth the skills needed to turn their lives around, continue their education and achieve success in the workplace. Tickets are $110 per person in advance and $120 at the door.
