Do not pass go, do not collect $100. Top Trumps Inc, manufacturers of the official Napa Valley version of MONOPOLY, under license from Hasbro, officially announced February 9, that MONOPOLY, the World's Most Popular Board game, is getting a Napa Valley edition, which will feature iconic area landmarks, businesses, and more from the world-famous wine region.

Joined by Napa Mayor Scott Sedgley and Visit Napa President & CEO Linsey Gallagher, Top Trumps USA, Inc. representative Jennifer Tripsea, and Mr. Monopoly made the announcement to a group of people gather at the Visit Napa Valley Welcome Center in downtown Napa.

“Part of the good life we all get to experience here in Napa Valley is to play,” said Linsey Gallagher, President & CEO of Visit Napa Valley. “And when you think of a board game there is no more iconic, family-friendly game than Monopoly. We are so honored and flattered that Napa Valley has been chosen for its own edition of Monopoly,” Gallagher continued. Napa Valley residents are encouraged to share their recommendations for the MONOPOLY Napa Valley board now through March 1, 2022, via the official MONOPOLY Napa Valley email napavalley@toptrumps.com

“To be a part of Monopoly with this Napa Valley edition is exciting for our entire county,” remarked Scott Sedgley, Napa Mayor. “I know our communities will give a lot of input suggesting board spaces – places locals love and that make Napa County unique,” Mayor Sedgley continued.

MONOPOLY Napa Valley will be everything you love about the traditional board game. The board will be adapted to feature Napa Valley-themed spaces instead of Boardwalk and Park Place from the original MONOPOLY board. Customized "Community Chest" and "Chance" playing cards will help enhance the Napa Valley theme in a way residents will enjoy for generations. The MONOPOLY Napa Valley edition spaces are brought to life, in part, through sponsorships by local businesses and organizations.

Top Trumps Inc, manufacturers of the official Napa Valley version of MONOPOLY, under license from Hasbro, anticipates that the game will be on shelves in the fall of 2022.

"To make this board authentically Napa Valley, we are seeking input from local residents," said Jennifer Tripsea, a representative from Top Trumps. "We want everyone to get inspired and us send their suggestions to napavalley@toptrumps.com by March 1."

MONOPOLY first hit the shelves in 1935, and since then, it has been played by more than 1 billion people. It is played in 114 countries and enjoyed in over 47 different languages.
