The 27th Annual Lombardi Gala – an unparalleled celebration to benefit the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Louis M. Weiner, M.D., Director.

This black-tie dinner dance features a cocktail reception and renowned silent auction; a raffle that includes a 2014 model Lexus automobile; presentation of awards to remarkable individuals for their fight against cancer; and more. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Gala go directly to Lombardi for cancer research, education, and treatment.

Meet the voice of Bender the robot from "Futurama," and watch a  movie about all of his amazing friends!  The National Press Club will host the East Coast premiere of the  voice acting documentary "I Know That Voice" on Friday, November  8. The film’s executive producer, Annie Award-winning and Emmy-nominated voice actor John  DiMaggio, will be on hand to introduce the film and answer  questions after the screening, followed by a meet-and-greet and  signing.

Deep in the bowels of an S&M parlor, a dominatrix and her client are getting ready to play out their regular game. Concealing their faces and ethnicities in head-to-toe leather, the two enact elaborate fantasies, using racial stereotypes and sexual mythologies to fulfill each others' wishes. But when one of them goes off script, the line between role-play and reality begins to shift, as do the identities and desires of the two people behind the masks.  David Henry Hwang's powerful play is directed by Toni Rae Salmi and presented at the brand-new Anacostia Playhouse.
