EFN will host DC’s first party for transforming the taste bud, an experience that will allow guests to twist their tongue on a West African berry called synsepalum dulcificum, or "trippy fruit." Trippy fruit temporarily re-wires taste receptors on the tongue, transforming acidic and sour food into sweet and enjoyable treats.

This year, Lindy Promotions and DC101 announced its biggest headlining act ever signed in the 13-year history of the Downtown Countdown: Third Eye Blind. After going on sale in September, the Downtown Countdown has already sold hundreds of tickets, with General Admission ticket numbers leaps ahead of last year’s pace, and VIP tickets – featuring a private acoustic set by Third Eye Blind – over a quarter sold out. This year’s event is shaping up to be Washington's most in demand New Year's Eve party.
