Macon Bistro & Larder, the French and Southern-inspired bistro in Chevy Chase, located at 5520 Connecticut Ave., NW, 20015, will host an afternoon, four-course wine luncheon with neighboring retailer Circle Wine & Spirits on Saturday July 25th from 2 PM to 4 PM. Priced at $65 per person (not including tax and gratuity), guests will have the pleasure of enjoying classic dishes with a Southern twist featuring local and seasonal ingredients prepared by Executive Chef Dan Singhofen.

Richard Sandoval’s vibrant Taqueria and Tequileria, El Centro D.F., is pleased to debut its popular Guacamole Festival, which will run June 29th through September 30th, 2015. The Festival will feature different flavors that highlight various regional experiences of preparing guacamole. Dating back to Aztec times, the traditional Mexican dip was comprised of avocado, onion, chilies, fresh tomato, and salt. Over time, regions of Mexico began mixing local ingredients, creating thousands of variations which have grown in popularity.

June 28th is officially National Ceviche Day and Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is celebrating with specials. From June 22nd through 28th, the restaurant will offer up three variations of the popular seafood dish priced at an affordable $5 each. This special offering is available exclusively in the 50-seat bar/lounge Monday through Saturday, from 5 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday, from 11:30 AM to 9 PM.

Families and foodies are invited to the Taste of Frederick on Sunday, July 19th at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium from 12:00-3:00pm.

Over 15 restaurants will set up serving stations at the stadium for attendees to sample their summer favorites. Restaurants include Buffalo Wild Wings, CarterQue, Mamma Lucia, Noodles & Company, Pie Five, Starvin Marvin, and MORE! The full list of participating restaurants will be announced by the Frederick News Post in July.

On Thursday, July 9th, City Tap House, the craft beer-focused restaurant located at 901 9th Street, NW, 20001, is hosting a release party for Founders Brewing Co., one of the highest recognized breweries in the United States. On this particular evening, representatives from the Michigan-based brewery will be on hand to pour two new releases: Kentucky Breakfast Stout & Canadian Breakfast Stout. For the perfect pairing, Culinary Director Brian Cooke will feature pancake specials that will be available in addition to the restaurant’s full a la carte menu.
