More than 250 of the nation’s most accomplished craftspeople will present thousands of unique, one-of-a-kind crafts and keepsakes, including functional and decorative pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, furniture, home accessories, and photography.

The spring 2011 Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Gaithersburg will feature:

- “Artful Outdoors,” the show’s theme highlights unique handmade contemporary crafts and fine arts inspired by nature

Approximately 400 people are expected to participate in this fun, inspiring, community fundraiser, which calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation. Honorary co-chair is Carl Harbaugh, former Sheriff Frederick County who had a kidney transplant in 2008.

Walkers can choose from a 3-mile or 1-mile path, or a special route for wheelchairs. Cheering on participants will be Ms. Historic Maryland pageant contestants, as well as Woolie, the Hagerstown Suns mascot, and Keyote, the Frederick Keys mascot.
