The Friends of Rittenhouse Square will be celebrating its annual tree lighting in Rittenhouse Square Park on Tuesday, November 27th (Rain date Thursday, November 29th). The holiday extravaganza will feature the official lighting of the park’s 30-foot holiday tree, a performance from “In the Mix” A Capella group, a performance from The Singin’ Bohemians from MacGuffin, a performance from the Mummers, a special appearance from Santa Claus, holiday treats, and more. Mayor Jim Kenney and Council President Darrell Clarke will also be in attendance to join in the celebration and say a few words.

Chef Nicholas Elmi and friends at Royal Boucherie—Old City’s American-inspired brasserie are hosting a fun, Autumn Harvest Dinner next Tuesday, November 13.  This fun, informative experience brings a deliciously autumnal and seasonally inspired multi-course prix-fixe menu paired with local goodness from Three Springs Fruit Farm, Ploughman Cider and Green Meadow Farm.  

Christmas Village in Philadelphia will again transform LOVE Park (15th and JFK Boulevard) into a traditional, open-air German Christmas Market. Enjoy some early holiday cheer as the Delaware Valley’s largest holiday attraction presents a special preview weekend, on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Following the preview, Christmas Village will then open daily starting on Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. Follow the smell of gingerbread and fresh-made waffles to Philadelphia’s holiday wonderland.

Break out your Lederhosen and Dirndls, Christmas Village in Philadelphia (LOVE Park) is once again celebrating the beloved German American Weekend on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9, 2018. German American Weekend will feature authentic German food and drinks that will be available all weekend long. Make sure to stop by for a traditional German Bratwurst, a Schnitzel with Potato Salad, pretzels, or a slice of delicious German meatloaf and wash it down with a hot mulled wine. Enjoy a variety of live German singing and dancing performances!
