Taproom on 19th (2400 S. 19th, Philadelphia) hosts the 3rd Annual Chili Challenge on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. 20 local chefs are back again for this epic South Philadelphia chili throwdown. Valley Forge Casino Resort (1160 First Avenue) presents Sublime with Rome on Saturday, December 31, 2016 for a New Year’s Eve CHILL-ebration as part of Valley Forge Music Fair. The chart-topping Ska Punk band hopes to bring the love and passion of their first two studio albums to their fans with this live tour stop. Showtime is 10:00pm, with doors opening at 9:00pm. Philadelphia’s Dilworth Park will once again host the annual Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, open everyday from Saturday, November 19th through Saturday, December 24th (Christmas Eve). Visitors will experience a charming winter bazaar with more than 30 local vendors festively lit tents featuring fashionable jewelry and clothes, unique decorations and gifts, and a wide variety of locally-made sweets and food. The Rothman Ice Rink is conveniently located adjacent to the Holiday Market. Daily hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 11am to 8pm, and Sundays through Thursdays, 11am to 7pm.

Children and families from around the region are invited to join Christmas Village in Philadelphia's second Lantern Parade on Wednesday, November 30, starting at 5:15pm. Meet outside in front of the Christmas Village’s main stage on City Hall’s Northern Apron and join the festive procession with your homemade and decorated lanterns (battery please, no flame). Children's carolers from Walnut Street Theatre will accompany the parade around City Hall with a stunt at the big Christmas tree on Dilworth Plaza.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia (City Hall Courtyard, 1400 JFK) presents its Grand Opening Ceremony on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Invite your family and friends to come sing along to holiday selections by the Camden Catholic High School Band and Clearview Regional High School Choir. Meet the original Christkind from Nuremberg after she officially opens the market by reciting her traditional prologue. Take photos with her as she does her traditional walk of the market.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia presented by NRG returns to Philadelphia for the 2016 holiday season at an exciting new location. Philadelphia’s largest holiday attraction will this year transform Philadelphia’s City Hall (1400 JFK Blvd.) into a traditional, open-air German Christmas Market, open daily between Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24, 2016 and Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, 2016. Christmas Village in Philadelphia will open early for a special preview on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, 2016.
