Band Biography

IntiLuna is a Latin fusion band based in Washington, D.C. The group was born in 2015 after a series of summer evening jam sessions on a porch in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood. Andean and other Latin American folk music are central to the group's repertoire, which incorporates rhythms and styles from throughout the region--ranging from Cuban son to Uruguayan candombe. Through its music, IntiLuna celebrates the vibrant musical tradition and cultural heritage of its individual members and of the region at large.
