The New York Mets and Metropolitan Hospitality, the world-class event and hospitality company for Citi Field, will host the first Fall Fest at Citi Field on Sunday, October 26 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. There will be a host of family-friendly activities including games, crafts, music, trick or treating and other interactive programs.
Free activities at the festival include Mets Fan Fest games, photo opportunities with Mr. and Mrs. Met, fall-themed arts and crafts provided by Oriental Trading, trick or treating, children’s costume contests and a colorful Halloween decoration display. There will also be a mini Oktoberfest celebration with music, beer, cider and bratwurst for sale.
Additional activities include pumpkin carving and painting, apple dipping, and an array of tantalizing food and beverages for sale. Locally grown pumpkins and apples will also be available for purchase.
Concurrently, the Mets and City Harvest will host a food drive from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. benefiting New Yorkers in need. Fans donating 10 items or more of nonperishable nutritious food at the food drive will receive a voucher for one pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April 2015. Donors will also receive 15% off select regularly priced merchandise at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field Sunday, October 26 only.
Among the items most needed are: canned fruit, vegetables and proteins, plastic jars of peanut butter, packages of hot or cold cereal, and packages of macaroni and cheese. Items that will not be accepted are: unlabeled, expired, or dented cans; any open packaging; products that need to be refrigerated; or homemade products.
Fans can drop off their food donation inside the Mets Team Store adjacent to the Jackie Robinson Rotunda and may park in Lot G on 126th Street between the Right Field Gate and Roosevelt Avenue.
Tickets for Fall Fest are $10 for adults and $7 for children and can be purchased online at Mets.com/FallFest. Free parking is available in Lot G for ticket-holders.
Citi Field will also be hosting Winter Fest on Saturday, December 13. Discounted prices are available to those who purchase tickets for both events at $9 for adults and $6 for children per event.
