Center Stage offers a six-play season of classics, music theater, new works, play readings, and cabaret series. More than 100,000 people per year attend. Productions are performed on one of two stages (the 541-seat Pearlstone Theater, and the smaller Head Theater) whose sets and props are made in Center Stage's own shops.

The Maryland Academy of Sciences, the parent organization of the Maryland Science Center, is Maryland's oldest scientific institution and one of the oldest such institutions in the entire nation. The Maryland Science Center at Baltimore's Inner Harbor is visited by more than 550,000 people each year.
