Russian born and New York based, fashion designer Alex Teih is known for his glamorous evening and cocktail dresses. Emerging from a background of cinema and costume design he has, however, rejected the theatricality of the runway for a playful sexiness in his collections. His clothes are for modern Doris Day, young and flirtatious but with a polished sophistication and wit. He wants them to be fun to wear but also his designs an unaffected elegance and an easy silhouette suitable for the relaxed formality of today's lifestyle.
