Washington, DC Restaurant Week, MEdia invades CITY CAFE, reasons to Visit Baltimore, buy 1 get 1 free Daltry code

City Café Restaurant in Mt Vernon--Your table is waiting...and boy did we enjoy ours at a special “Intimate Dinner Party” thrown by owners Gino Cardinale and Bruce Bodie of CITY CAFÉ and EDIE BROWN, Marketing Relations mentor & gal pal extraordinaire. Joining CITYPEEK Patti were a select group of media executives: Anne Boone –Simanski, Social Columnist and yes, daughter of Sylvia Badger (She learned her trade from the best!) Tonya Black and Pete Amorgeanos, WJZ-TV News Veterans, Karen Bokram-Girl’s Life Magazine, and the always in-the-know, Media Max Weiss, Baltimore Magazine.  We enjoyed extensive offerings like fried green tomatoes topped with crab lump, vichyssoise (you know potato and leek soup), tuna seared on a bed of beet and edamame slaw. To top it all off, we each received a small sampling of the most delicious sweets: fabulous bread pudding topped with toffee and chocolate bits, flourless chocolate cake and crème brule.
There is a new young Executive Chef, Chad Gauss gingerly explains his true passionate love of his trade. He came from Christopher Daniel. The Cafe's new layout is more open and less cut up in parts offering a more lounging experience. When offered coffee at the end, many were reminded of the CITY CAFE roots which opened as a coffee shop in 1994-exclaiming "this coffee is great!" Restaurant Association Tracking State of the Industry in Maryland In an effort to track how our industry is doing in these tough economic times and provide you with important benchmark information, the Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM) and the National Restaurant Association (NRA) have teamed up to gather information through a short monthly survey.20060310_jobgrowth The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and all participants receive a report containing the detailed results each month, broken out by industry segment and other characteristics. If enough Maryland Restaurants operators respond (A minimum of 25), we will also be able to generate Maryland-specific data each month. After you complete the first survey, each monthly survey after that will be emailed to you automatically, along with the monthly reports. All survey responses are anonymous and strictly confidential. To complete the survey, please go to: http://restaurant.org/research/survey/survey.htm
