But that is not all there is about this beautiful place as it was built in the 1800's and is one of the best examples of the Federal Period.
This was the home of Joseph Norris the first register of the US Treasury, and he held this post through the terms of six presidents.
During the War of 1812 the home was purchased and named Belle-Vue which means "beautiful view" by Charles Carroll a cousin of the signer of Declaration of Independence.who lived here in Baltimore.
