FoodBridge – an online, food rescue system that saves food from the landfill and puts it into the hands of non-profits feeding the community – will present its first ever awards ceremony/fundraiser hosted by Kathy Szeliga (Minority Whip, Maryland House of Delegates). Approximately 200 food brokers, non-profits, councilmen and others who want to support a great cause, are expected to attend this evening of cocktails, a three-course dinner by event sponsor, Cafe Mezzanotte, open bar, jazz by Count The Cost and a special performance by rock and soul artist, Sophia Urista. The event highlight will be an awards presentation to additional programs that are helping to bridge the community: Angels of Addiction Street Outreach, which provides street outreach in the dark alleys of West Baltimore, and 300 Youth COR, a leadership training program for young adolescents from Baltimore City. The Greene Turtle is the Title Sponsor and Advance Radiology is a Bridge Sponsor.
