This cocktail event will feature a gourmet dinner, fine wine, a special performance by renowned jazz artist Maysa, dancing to a live band, an interactive art activity, and auctions featuring unique artwork – created by the at-risk children and youth living at The Children’s Home – and more!
This year’s event theme is “FACES of Change, Innovation & Talents.” Residents in The Children’s Home’s care respond positively to art as an innovative approach to rebuilding their lives. FACES will showcase their courage for positive change, along with their innate artistic talent.
A VIP reception from 6:30-7:30 p.m. will include an exclusive champagne reception and catered chef presentation with Maysa, commemorative artwork crafted by a TCH resident and complimentary parking.
Proceeds from FACES 2013 will support The Children’s Home’s campaign to upgrade facilities and expand campus buildings constructed nearly 100 years ago. Established in 1863 as an orphanage for children abandoned due to the Civil War, The Children's Home proudly celebrates a 150-year legacy of caring for Maryland’s at-risk children and youth both inside and outside the family structure. Its programs and services have continued to evolve to meet the needs of the community.
The Children’s Home is now recognized as one of Maryland’s premier providers of short- and long-term residential treatment care for Maryland youth, ages 13–21, who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family crisis and may be in need of structured and supervised care.
