Classes in Shotokan Katate-Do are being held in Waverly near Johns-Hopkins Homewood campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7PM. Classes are for adults only and empahsize the traditional Japanese concept of karate-do as Budo...a martial way...through rigorous physical training aimed at the perfection of character through the perfection of technique. Instructor has 38 years experience(20 years in the Japan Karate Association-JKA), is affiliated with the International Society of Okinawan/Japanese Karate-Do(ISOK)and the International Shotokan-ryu Karate-Do Shihankai(ISKS), follows international standards of training and ranking, and has published articles in Shotokan Magazine.
