Agave is a newer staple to the quaint downtown Lewes Delaware. Providing a great ambiance with perfect lighting and decor really makes the diner feel warmed and welcomed. The food is also exceptional with a made-to-order guacamole menu(crab guac and traditional guac just to name a few) paired with fresh homemade tortilla chips. Salads, enchiladas, tacos and other assorted Mexican favorites punctuate this well orchestrated menu. The made to order margarita menu with 2 sizes to chose from, and 2 types to chose from(on the rocks or blended) is worth the visit alone, try the Mango it's outstanding. Seating is limited and there tends to be a wait, particularly on busy weekends. A new expansion of the restaurant which is upstairs has little seating and a small bar. The entrance is around the back of the building, so be mindful that you can't get there from the main restaurant, but it a nice intimate space great for small gatherings.

Everything in this place has been thought of, from the food, to drinks to decor to dishes even right down to the menus that are faced with what looks like is hammered tin paired with laced leather. Those little elements go a long way for the diner with an eye for detail.
