Speaking of Ocean City family vacations, where do you think the Speaker of the House goes on a family vacation?  Ocean City, MD of course.  Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her family stayed at The Carousel Resort Hotel over the weekend to spend time together and enjoy the beach. The Speaker was gracious enough to pose for a picture with me prior to leaving and I truly enjoyed meeting her and her family.

Family Movie Nights in Ocean City Maryland Every Monday and Friday evening enjoy games and movie on the beach with the new 16-foot projector. Each week a general audience movie is presented free of charge. June 29-Aug 14, 2009. 27th St. & the Beach. Games start at 7:30 and movies at 8:30.

Free Concerts in Ocean City Maryland-Free live entertainment each week while you relax beside the cool Atlantic on warm summer nights. Tribute bands & local favorites entertain the entire family. North Division St. & The Boardwalk. Wednesday evenings July 15th-Sept. 2. 8:00 -9:30.

Family Beach Olympics 27th Street & the Beach Events may include sand castle contests, tug-of-war, relays and more. All activities are free and are offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Bonfire & Story Hour-Sit beside the bonfire and learn interesting facts about Ocean City.  A different speaker each week. July 23 and 30, August 6, 13, 20, 27. North Division Street & the Beach.

Sundaes in the Park -This popular event combines a free concert with ice cream for a small fee at Northside Park, 127th Street (bayside) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. While parents enjoy the music, children will enjoy special entertainment just for them. July 12, 19, 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23
