Nancy Longo is a past James Beard Baltimore nominee and a local veteran in the kitchen. 2009 is the 20th anniversary of Pierpoint Restaurant (and Baltimore cooking classes)which opened to immediate rave reviews with local reviewers , as well as national reviews from magazines- Zagat’s, Woman’s day, Conde Nast Traveler, Apple Guide, Fodor’s, New York Times, Chicago Times, and the subject of others.Come celebrate-mention CITYPEEK for 20% off your bill!
Pierpoint opened with the concept of serving Modern Maryland cuisine, at a time when the local cuisine restaurants were dwindling, and Chef Nancy Longo wanted to offer a modern more healthy approach to Maryland cuisine, as well as create new Maryland classics- such as her Smoked Maryland crabcake now known and shipped Globally and Maryland Southern Fried Chicken. A favorite of some RAVENS players seen on site dining!
Pierpoint offers Cooking Classes: catering, children’s cooking classes and Adult Cooking Classes in Maryland cuisine. Come make the trip to Fells Point, take advantage of free parking and enjoy creative specialties.

Congrats to Nancy Longo Pierpoint

Chef Nancy Longo opened Pierpoint in 1989 to immediate raves, and the praise has continued from such publications as Zagat Survey, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Saveur, The New York Times and from noted food critic Mimi Sheraton, who gave Pierpoint three stars. Four years ago, Nancy was a regional winner of the Iowa Pork Producers Council recipe contest. After graduating from Baltimore's International Culinary College in 1983, Nancy worked her way to restaurant chef and owner. Along the way, she also began Chocolate Ware, which produces edible chocolate silverware. She authored a cookbook, Predominately Fish, in 1987, and in 1992, founded Save the Chesapeake to help raise funds to clean Chesapeake Bay. Nancy has been the subject of an ABC Prime Time Live segment and a guest on the Food Network. She was the only chef to appear at the Congressional/HAACP hearings on safe food-handling and seafood inspection. For the last 10 years, Nancy has been preparing a dinner for Our Daily Bread soup kitchen in Baltimore, where even Pope John Paul II came to serve a meal.

Saw Pierpoint on Citypeek and I'd read about Nancy Longo since I moved to Baltimore. Loved it. Great bar, great wine list, always love La Crema on a wine list. The Lamb was brilliant, the pumpkin 'pier'ogies were great and the talk of the table.

Citypeek is Awesome!

Thank you Patti- for suggesting advertising with you & CITYPEEK.com . It has been an amazing experience, oh and thanks to you every time we post a Thai cooking class it sells out overnight!
The advertising has been more than I ever could have expected hands down!
