Terrible Experience at Milan
Last night we had a terrible experience at Milan restaurant. The only good thing about this place is the unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, there is nothing else good to say about Milan. Our server was inexperienced and spoke sooo softly. Our $10 drinks went empty several times, and when they did arrive, they were 3/4 of the way full. We had to request salt and pepper twice. The worst part was the food. The prices don't match the portions at all. The salads were just lettuce with minimal toppings. The biggest disappointment was my fiance's $36 steak. He ordered it medium, and it came charred and tough! 10 minutes later our server returns to tell us they ran out of steak!! He just asked for a beer instead...and never got it. We sat there another 10 min, and finally went downstairs to tell the manager. He apologized and comp'd our WHOLE check!! Also, not that I care, but we were the only white people there...including staff.

Horrible
I recently (just a couple hours ago) went to a private party at Milan for a friends birthday. The place was so crowded that you could barely walk the waitresses could barely do their jobs because they barely could get to the bar. So most of us were without drinks unless we wanted to brave the 30 min walk of 2 feet of space from the area we were and the bar. The owner talked to my friend ONCE and said that he would fix things and and of course never did.To say he was unprofessional would be putting it mildly. Not only did he tell us that there was nothing he could do he proceeded to give excuse after excuse for all the things that went wrong that had nothing to do with our party. This joke of an owner yelled at his staff in front of us.. cussing one of them out for trying to help us, he also when confronted with one of our party calling him unprofessional he response was you yelled at me.

Worst Resturant Ever!!!!
Customer service is everything and that is something they don’t specialize in. All they offer is a "CUTE" venue and that's not enough for me. At 6:30 there were no seats @ the bar, but there were plenty other seats. We were told we could not sit in any of them b/c you had to buy a $100 bottle. I'm thinking it's 6:30 pm on a Monday night are you kidding me. Our only option was to go upstairs and you had to buy an entrée. We were there for a charity event/happy hour not DINNER. It took 2 hours NOT to get food. I had to go get the manager. The manager said all they could do was bring the food and take a percentage off. She then asked "well what else do you want me to do." I'm thinking um @ this point you need to be doing anything possible to keep me here and have me come back. I work too damn hard to go to dinner @ a wanna be NY/LA venue that's half empty to wait 2 hours for mediocre food on a Monday night.

MY HORRIBLE NIGHT
I walked in to a mob in the lounge area at 8: 45 p.m. It tokk me 30 to track down a hostess to ask her about were my party was suppose to be at. the hostess was dresses like she was about to pick up a trick on the corner and was not nice at all. after we all took our phones to light the menus because out small candle was not illuminating at all. My drink cost $ 16 it was passion fruit and sweetened ice tea and vodka, Juice of Milan, it was horrible it was alos in a 4 ounce glass, I asked for a coke for dinner. I ordered the crab cakes which tasted fine but they were 2 inches wide and 2 inches long $ 32 dollars later I think I had enough. I received my Coke 1 and 1/2 hours later. I finally complained and asked for the manager he was not much help. I will never return and I hope that this restaurant does not continue to rip people off and treat them like trash.

Unprofessional and Ill Managed
The decor is truly the only thing positive this place has to offer. I visited Milan with a friend who was celebrating her birthday. She made reservations for 9:00 PM for 25. We waited in the lobby until 11:00 PM to be seated. Once seated it took 30 mins for water to come to our table. After waiting an hour we finally were able to order drinks and food. By 1:00 AM most of us still had not received drinks. However, some of the food was arriving - all be it cold or overcooked. The kitchen ran out of glasses so three of the couples had to share water. Despite our several requests to see the manager, we were told he was not there. We then asked for the check and were told only the manager could bring the check. After waiting an hour we all left. Since then, my friend has received threatening text messages from the manager/owner angry because we did not pay the bill and has had to consult the police to resolve the situation. This place is obviously run by a thug.

MILAN Delighted us
MILAN Delighted us: Recently we had a great meal at MILAN in Little Italy. We savored a fresh cobb salad, lobster mac n cheese and vegetarian meatballs. The house cocktails were divine which we enjoyed downstairs in the sexy bar/lounge. Although the upstairs with its high ceilings and hardwood floors made it a bit loud, the hip, trendy environment made it all work together for a Saturday dinner. Highly recommend whether for a romantic hangout, group dinner or just hang at the bar. Say hi to Smittie!

Cool scene at Milan Baltimore.
Milan has terrific calamari and a rich dipping sauce. Too much for one, great for 4-5 people. Great happy hour food along with flatbread pizzas they serve. Love it-cool scene at Milan Baltimore.

Milan exceeds expectations!
I tried the Tonno Carpaccio from their new sushi italiano menu. Seared yellowfin tuna with roasted red peppers, capers, marinated anchovies, fresh herbs, EVOO and sea salt. At first I was a little nervous about sushi-sans-soy, but was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and flavor!

cool, hip, hot Baltimore Restaurant
Milan Baltimore Restaurant-gorgeous use of space-a real hip spot like one you would find in LA or Miami-but it is in the heart of Little Italy. All the best! Thx for the martinins.

Uneven
My husband's steak with the lobster was great but the sauce was thick and bland, the mashed potatoes were good, but didn't taste like lobster. I had the ravioli. The filling was tasty but the tail (and quite a bit of bottom shell) was still on the shrimp and was awkward to remove it since it was between the pasta squares and under the sauce . The pasta was quite chewy-not al dente. I liked the idea of the pink peppercorn sauce but it seemed to be a cream sauce with peppercorns ground on top rather than cooked into the sauce and the pepper was just too coarse, it made the sauce gritty and even chunky in parts. But the calamari was great as was the Cesar salad.
