Great Place
A strange blend of music, a cross between Cajun and Classical was too loud and a little fast paced for subdued, romantic atmosphere. We dined early (5:30 pm) the staff had little to do and over waited us refilling our water glasses repeatedly. Once into the meal the service became sparse and we didn’t get a chance to order cocktails, waited too long for our desert, and even longer for the check. My date had a wonderful pastry filled shrimp. The pastry was light and fluffy and the shrimp spiced divinely. I had the Louisiana Crab Bisque that had great flavor, and lump crab meat, fantastic. We had entrees of Blackened Shrimp & Black Angus strip steak. Both were done to perfection and the plating presentation was exquisite as well. Dinner was finished off with Crème Brule and Chocolate Mouse, again both were heavenly. The restaurant is a little pricey but having been Restaurant week we got a better than average meal for $35.00 each, but even at menu prices, this place is a gem.
