The best atmosphere (and veal) in Baltimore
For our anniversary, my fiance took me to Supano's steak and Italian restaurant! I was so excited to try this, as I knew it had a Rat Pack theme and I am a huge Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin fan! That evening, I also became a huge fan of the cuisine at Supano's. Nestled in a fun atmosphere (including a large screen TV showing Frank Sinatra's concerts on video, Supano's itself is a main ingredient for a fun evening of excellent food and drink. I had the Veal Marsala, which is honestly the best veal I have had in Baltimore. My fiance had seafood pasta which he really enjoyed, as well. There is truly no other place like this in the City. It is "hidden" on the corner of Water St. (right behind the large CVS across from the Gallery). I feel that the only thing that may help Supano's even more is a more central location (parking requires a walk, etc.). However, overall this is an excellent spot that I cannot wait to return to. The basement of the restaurant is a fun lounge filled with more Rat Pack memorabilia and comfy chairs/sofas and TVs. Supano's is great for a formal dinner as well as a casual "hang out" time in the lounge. If you are a pasta, steak and Rat Pack fan, this is the place for you! :)

October 1, 2011 Dinner
The wife and I tried Supano's for the first time on 10/1/11; we were in town, staying at a local hotel, and a cab took us to a very nice secluded "alley" where Supano's is located. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was relaxing, casual and with good standard jazz, backed up by a clarinet, keyboard, guitar and bongo drums. During their breaks, there was Sinatra in the background. The owner (Terry) came by to ask how everything was, and to welcome us to his place. At the end of dinner, when I asked the waiter to call us a cab, the owner offered us a ride back to our hotel; an offer (we were told) is occasionally extended to his guests. Try it and you'll likely have a pleasant evening yourself.

Down Stairs Jazz and Blues
We found Supano's to be a rare find. It's tucked away in an alley in Baltimore and is an outstanding place for food and music. We loved the group called Down Stairs Jazz and Blues. We hated to see the music come to an end, but on our next trip to Baltimore, it will be our first stop.

We had the pleasure of
We had the pleasure of dining at Supano's for the first time on Saturday night, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was out of this world (BEST CRAB CAKES IN BALTIMORE), but the atmosphere is just so cool! Great music, great decor, great vibe! SOOO much better than going to the ususal, cookie-cutter chain restaurants at the harbor that you can go to in any city in the USA. Great for families, but romantic enough for couples, too. We loved the live music.."Dean" was there Saturday night...we want to go back when "Frank" is there, too. Treat yourself and go to Supano's.
PS--My husband is still raving about the marinara sauce!

Love the food and the music
We stopped in Supano's for the first time last Friday nite. (I'll be honest, we stopped in for the awesome happy hour drink specials initially. Who doesn't love a $2 glass of wine?!) The atmosphere was nice but casual and the place was full. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and enjoyed some really fabulous live music reminiscent of Sinatra. The live music created a great atmosphere not found anywhere else in the city. We really enjoyed the mini crab balls! Hardly any filler, big lumps of crab even though they were minis. The sauce served with it was out of this world. I don't know how they make it sweet but tangy at the same time!
We were hungry for a full dinner but can't wait to go back. We did however enjoy a wonderfully lite creme brulee to top off the evening while listening to the next band. Can't get enough of live blues! I've been looking all over the city for a spot like this. Glad we found it and can't wait to go back!

Baltimore's New Hot Spot
Moved up from Fla. had crab cakes some good, some bad, these were great. Living in Fed Hill this is simply location, location, location. Awesome environmnet, large menu and we heard the lady in the kitchen has been preparing the soups and sauces for 40 years. Who has this. Our group tried everything. Best: Cream of crab soup, MD crab soup, tiramisu, rybeye, crab cake. Hard to miss here. Happy Hour just plain crazy in prices. The owner told us he is here to sell us food and the drinks are almost a give away. We were there Saturday Night and the wine was buy 1 get 1 free. I Love this place. Dino was great entertainer and the second band were pro's also. I even had a cigar outside it was chilly but just a good night not to cap it off with a good stoggie.

My husband and I were in
My husband and I were in Baltimore for a mini getaway weekend. We stumbles upon Supano's walking down to the harbor from our hotel. This was a wonderful find for us! We stopped in for a drink and met a their friendly manager Terri. She was so personable giving us all kind of "must visit places" while in Baltimore. Of course she suggested we visit Supanos on Saturday night for jazz. We did just that... it was so much fun! The live jazz was such a treat. We had dinner and drinks. While we were dinning the actual owner (funny his name was also Terry) came to our table to see how we were enjoying our food. Truth was... THE CRAB CAKES WERE TO DIE FOR! My husband also enjoyed his Steak. I couldn't believe my ears when my husband told "Terry" the steak was better then RUTH CHRIS! You must try this restaurant. One more confession...I bought another crab cake to take home!

lunch- all that jazz and eggplant parm.
A treat having what I normally would for dinner, for lunch. Fabulous crab balls, eggplant parm (thanks to Amy for sharing) and perfectly cooked rare salmon on a caesar salad. OH, of course, the Rat Pack is always playing if not live blues and jazz.

Supano's
Tried a new place we heard about. The reviews on Yelp were confusing. Some 5 stars and 1 stars. I am telling you 5 stars for us. We live close and my husband said we know when to say no and that was not possible. 5 Star food, second to none is atmosphere here or New York. Service ok they were slammed on friday night and I know why. Music was awesome. A great find for us. Made reservations for Valentines Day. Enjoy....

Supano's Food
We live in Federal Hill and on the weekend this is our get away. The adults cannot enjoy FED HILL on weekend and Supano's has the food, live music we like and just a five star rating as decor upstairs and downstairs. Great find for us! Glad/hope we see friends from Fed Hill there. 10 out of 10 rating on everything. 5 hearts but I could not figure out how to light up the hearts.

Live Music and Lasagna
I tried Supano's at the suggestion online and loved it. The singer of the blues band reminded me of an old Louis Armstrong. When "Georgia on my Mind " went on, I (and my date) were mezmarized and stayed til they finished. Will definitely return. Live music, great lasagna, fettacini alfredo and bruschetta-a combo not to miss. Thanks for the tip!

Forgot the Rating Supano's
We here that the live entertainment is as good as it get's.. Checking it out this weekend.

Baltimore's Best Kept Secret
Unbelievable food across the board. A group of 10 of us from Baltimore choose Supano's by finding an out of the way place and taking a chance. Awesome food, steaks, crab cakes and pasta. Loved the Rat Pack Theme and Billy Joel music mixed in with Sinatra. Never write reviews but maybe this will help others find the wonderful place tucked in on the cobblestoned Water Street downtown near the Inner Harbor.

the rat pack music in baltimore always on screen @ Velleggia's
The rat pack music/films or big sporting events in Baltimore always on the big screen @ Supano's Restaurant on Water Street. We love the wine list and cool atmosphere with fireplaces-and they deliver to my neighborhood! Woo-woo.
