1542 CLOSES after opening for a blink

CITYPEEK exclusive: After a few short months of changing hands, renovation completed and reopening, 1542 Gastro Pub in Federal Hill, formally The Reserve, will be closing its doors leaving employees into the job search market. As of June 10th the doors at 1542 will be closed for good and not for lack of great reviews.

Executive Chef Cyrus Keefer writes me "Due to circumstances out of the business control the owners of 1542 will be moving down the road to launch Banditos, a taco and tequila bar located at 1118 South Charles Street (basically across from Mother's Grille) and will open June 21st at 9pm. The pub is now sampling taco delights.

That's the scoop and Chef Cyrus is seeking a place to place his knives, Chefs garb and tattooed body. In the meantime, Chef Cyrus is staying on to write the "menu and consult and then I'm off to job hunt in DC, " he continues.
