Washington DC’s Wine Country Food and Wine Festival at historic Whitehall Manor BLUEMONT, VA – – The Virginia Food and Wine Foundation are pleased to announce DC’s Wine Country first annual Food and Wine Festival at historic Whitehall Manor in Bluemont, Virginia. This festival will be held the evenings of July 10th through July 12th 2009. As you enter the historic estate that evening, you will be greeted by Virginia’s own wine ambassador, Mary Watson. She will be handing out helpful tasting tips so that you all can enjoy the tastings from 20 of Loudoun’s best wineries. In addition to great wines, the food options include a buffet dinner in the Manor house as well as picnic cuisine options as well. We will have Masters in the fine art of Chocolate making showcasing their talents, And handcrafting chocolates made in traditional European methods. Mini wine seminars from Sommelier Mary Watson every 30 minutes will enhance your wine tasting experience through out the evening. An artisan glass blower will be onsite producing incredible wine glasses and decanters right before your eyes. Live music will embellish the evening for those who wish to just sit back with a glass of wine and discover the ambiance found at this grand property.
