Royal Boucherie, Old City’s American-inspired brasserie and raw bar from Nicholas Elmi and Suzanne O’Brien, invites guests to celebrate the anniversary of the repeal with a cocktail class featuring Old Forester Whiskey on Wednesday, December 5th from 6-8 pm. Representatives from Old Forester will be discussing cocktail history and the chronicle of America’s first bottled bourbon, as well as leading guests through a cocktail demonstration, including the Kentucky Mule (Old Forester 86 proof), Boulevardier (1902 Prohibition Edition) and Old Fashioned (1897 Bonded Edition). Guests will also enjoy complimentary small bites from top chef Nicholas Elmi. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling the restaurant at 267.606.6313.
Lead Bartender, Zeq Rudy, will also be serving up an exclusive Old Fashioned menu, boasting five different cocktails made with Altos Repasado spicy tequila, Plymouth gin, Wild Turkey, Rittenhouse Rye and Vida Mezcal for those wishing to celebrate Repeal Day the right way — with lots of booze. The Old Fashioneds will be available all day on Wednesday, December 5th for $10 each.
