Join us on Thursday, August 9 from 7pm to 9pm when we put a local Baltimore twist on a night of science and rum. Learn the science and history behind "ship aged rum" and how one Maryland distiller is bringing that back right here in the Inner Harbor. Made with 100% molasses from Domino in Baltimore and aged in Baltimore on the USS Constellation for over a year, you will taste this limited release rum along with other varieties of Tobacco Barn Distillery’s rum. The night includes an informal presentation, a selection of delectable bites, different rums, and a chance to quiz “the only retired Admiral in America working a distillery” All while enjoying breath-taking views of the city from the roof of the Maryland Science Center. “Rum on the Roof” is designed to be a fun, informative, and social evening that is appealing to both experienced and novice rum drinkers alike. If you like rum, you’ll like this.
