FONA and the Washington Youth Garden present seven free evenings of music in the Meadow for the 2017 Summer Evenings at the U.S. National Arboretum. Pack a picnic, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and relax below the Capital Columns. All these events hosted by the Friends of the National Arboretum are free, BUT reservations are required. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Please enter through the R Street NE Gate (GPS: 2400 R Street NE, Washington, DC 20002). Sorry, dogs and alcohol are not permitted.

Band Biography

The Unified Jazz Ensemble (UJE), based in Annapolis, Maryland, is dedicated to bringing the best of jazz to audiences of all ages.  Founded in 1992 as the first jazz group in the National Endowment for the Arts Rural Residency Arts Initiative, the UJE has performed across the United States and internationally, engaging listeners in innovative performances of jazz standards and original compositions.
