FONA and the Washington Youth Garden present seven free evenings of music in the Meadow for the 2017 Summer Evenings at the U.S. National Arboretum. Pack a picnic, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and relax below the Capital Columns. All these events hosted by the Friends of the National Arboretum are free, BUT reservations are required. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Please enter through the R Street NE Gate (GPS: 2400 R Street NE, Washington, DC 20002). Sorry, dogs and alcohol are not permitted.

 

Artist Biography

No Part of Nothin' is contemporary bluegrass/Americana style band based in the DC area, featuring a variety of bluegrass, country and swing music.

No Part of Nothin was recently formed when several members met at a monthly bluegrass jam. They sang together on a couple of songs, and the next thing you know they decided to enter the DC Bluegrass Union Festival's band content. And the rest is history! The band features Michelle Murray on vocals and guitar, Steve Barrett on vocals bass, and mandolin, Paul Donovan on mandolin and vocals, Robert Meltz on banjo and David Goldman on fiddle.The band has received airplay on WAMU's Open Mic Program, and performs regularly in the D.C. Metropolitan area, including at the monthly bluegrass music series at Seibel's Restaurant.
