On Thursday, August 15, the Oyster Festival kicks off with a wine tasting featuring Siema Wines, focusing on summer and seafood-friendly whites selected by Sonoma Wine Program Director, Tim Hays and Siema Wines’ certified sommelier, Andrew Stover.   Tickets for the wine tasting - which includes local and regional whites like Breaux Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc from Loudoun County - are only $15 per person and include an oyster pairing. The festival continues on Friday the 16th and Saturday the 17th with Chef Joshua Hutter’s special oyster tasting dinner menu, to include items like Oyster Soup with leeks, peas, cream and vermouth and Herb Fettuccine with Clams, finished with house made pancetta and white wine. Reservations are encouraged.  The fun doesn’t stop there, because on Sunday the 18th, Sonoma and War Shore Oyster Company hosts a special oyster raw bar (with one of the fastest oyster shuckers in the US on hand!), an oyster-focused sharing menu, and of course, summer wine and beer pairings.
