Since 2003, the Yankees have dominated the Twins in the postseason, knocking them out in four games in 2003 and 2004, and then sweeping them in the ALD’s in October 2009.

Last season they faced off 7 times and the Yankees defeated them 4 out of the 7 games. The twins feature Joe Mauer who is currently amongst the leaders in batting average. While the Yankees feature Robinson Cano who is one of the top homerun hitters in the American League.
