Executive Chef and Owner Domenico Cornacchia of Assaggi Mozzarella Bar, located at 4838 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda, MD  20814 is pleased to announce a Wednesday, May 1st Rosé Wine Night at his handsome Italian restaurant. Guests can partake in a four-course wine dinner with four Italian Rosé pairings for $65 per person(tax and gratuity excluded). Or come in and order dinner a la carte and enjoy a Rosé flight of three wines (picking which three from the four available) for $14. Reservations are recommended and made by calling (301) 951-1988.  

The four featured wines for May 1st are 12 Vitiano Rosato, Umbria, a blend of 30% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Aleatico with a deep coral color, this dry, medium-bodied wine delivers clean, juicy aromas of strawberries, plums, cranberries, and scents of roses and gardenias; the 12 Regaleali Le Rose, Sicily is made from indigenous Sicilian grapes. This bone-dry yet utterly juicy wine is a surprise to the palate bringing bright acidity; cherries dominate on both the nose and in the mouth. This wine is big enough to work well with surprisingly rich foods. Next, the 12 Argiolas Serra Lori Rosato , Sardegna is a blend of Cannonau, Monica, Carignano, and Bovale Sardo from various southeastern-facing vineyards. This extremely versatile wine is a rich salmon pink color, and displays intense notes of wild berries and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is lively, well-structured, and flavorful, with a long, satisfying finish. The fourth wine NV Little Bosco, Brachetto, Piedmonta is a lightly sweet sparkling red wine made from Borgogna grapes with distinctive notes of strawberries.
