The 2011 Komen Global Race for the Cure will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Whether you run, walk or support us from the sidelines, don’t miss the chance to change the world you live in. Together, we promise to end breast cancer forever. You can run or walk the 5K, or even Sleep In for the Cure®. There is also a special Race and activities for kids 12 and under.

Up to 75 percent of the Komen Global Race’s net income stays in the Washington, D.C. area to fund breast cancer screening, treatment and education programs through the National Capital Area Grants Program. The remaining 25 percent supports the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Global Promise Fund, a program dedicated to sharing knowledge and experience, and to funding education and breast health services in regions where few exist.
