Tequila Bottle Club hits the Baltimore- DC area at Blue Agave

New owners, Brian Acquavella and Matt Lasinski, and General Manager Adam Pashkevich (Seen left) are spicing it up at their new Baltimore home, Blue Agave. Hailing from Ocean City, Maryland where they were part of the bar and management team at Macky's Bayside, hardly skipping a beat, the new team is making solid improvements and building loyal patrons.

In a few short months Team Blue Agave have completed an interior and exterior changes (example, no awning hiding sunshine), added new menu items by Chef Jose 'ChaChi' Marquez and are infusing fresh ideas beginning lunches and weekend brunch and their newest seduction is now being revealed.

Drum roll please as I announce Blue Agave's new Don Julio Tequila 'Bottle Club.' It's the only one we know of, but do tell if you know differently. Similar, in theory, to One Eyed Mike's of Fells Point's enormously successful and Internationally recognized Grand Marnier Club which has over 1897 members worldwide, members of the Tequila Bottle Club pay a one time fee to join which includes a members first bottle of Don Julio Blanco and a prestigious lifetime spot in the Treasured Cabinet, currently limited to 100 bottles.

The Tequila Bottle Club has multiple Don Julio Membership levels available in addition to the Blanco sipping status, for the following noted premium added to the initial $150 membership fee: Reposado ($5), Anejo ($15), Anejo Crystal ($35), 1942 ($115) and the mighty Real 80 (TBD after 1st bottle consumption). Once your first bottle is emptied, replacement bottles are available to restock at fee from Don Julio Blanco for $75 to Don Julio Reposado $80 to Don Julio Real 80 at $500, etc...

Happy Hour is now daily 4-7 pm as is lunch service. Definitely come on in and try to margaritas and delicious guacamole. There are 130 tequilas available so take your time sampling! Perhaps I will pour you from my own bottle as I am proud member #5 of the Bottle Club! Cheers!
