I am just back from sampling one of the best finds in a long while, Unlike poker, it's really not a gamble. If you want a mouthful of sweet, velvety, lush grapes-go All In! MURPHY-GOODE "All Inn" Claret 2006. A "claret" (pronounced with a hard 't') is a British term for Bordeaux red wine. This Claret wine is a blend of Murphy Goode's top lots of Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot (25%) and Petit Verdot (14%).
One of the cellar's favorite pastimes is playing cards, hence the name "ALL In". Many an evening, egos have been built-up and then destroyed. It is in this spirit of fun and togetherness that we introduce All In. It is a great big, berry red with blackberry coming from the Cabernet mixing with the cherry of the Merlot. The fragrance, taste and structure stand out as quite memorable. Alcohol is 14.8%
2006 All In Claret is a wine that is substantial enough to stand up to full-bodied food preparations. Enjoy this wine with classic cuisines such as roast rack of lamb, grilled steak, or duck in various preparations.
