Chardonnay from Lapostolle Atalayas Vineyard in Chile, South America.
Known by the line, "French by Essence, Chilean by Birth. Hand crafted world class wines made in harmony with nature," this chardonnay is a sophisticated example of what a well balanced and measured chardonnay should taste like. And it is made from organic grapes.
The Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay is a great example of elegance, balance and aging potential. The 2009, shows off a 47% of whole cluster pressing and 53% of maceration into the press before fermenting. 68% was fermented and aged in French barrels for 10 month (part news and part used) and 32% in stainless steel tanks. 20% malolactic fermentation was made.
The result is a well integrated oak, a balanced palate with an elegant structure and integrated oak that enhances the natural fruit and freshness of the grapes. A must in any wine locker!
