The Newseum

This is one of the most interesting museums and I take time to enjoy it often. The museum is interactive with centuries of history and up to the date technology all on America's Main Street near the capitol.
When you enter the museum you should take time to visit the orientation room to become acquainted with the different levels and exhibits that are available.
The piece of the Berlin Wall is something you want to touch and just remember when this was inforce and if you do not remember learn.
There is also a guard tower for you to do the same.
If the terrace is open do visit and enjoy the view of the district and the capitol.
Takes about four to five hours to really take in all of the exhibits.
Then stop by the Great Restaurant The Source Great food and relaxing.

One of my very favorite places to visit when I spend a day in our Nation's Capitol is the Newseum.
I had the honor to be included in a construction tour of this building when it was just in the beginning of it's birthing. I can remember how impressed I was with the spectular view of our capitol building and over the many times I have visited it only becomes more impressive.
Just take a moment or two and visit the roof area to take in this view. You will not be disappointed.
I love to stop and read the front pages of many newspapers of the world.It is very interesting to read what other countries and states are considering the front page for their area.
There are many avenues of education available here also. .
Then added to this is the restaurant The Souce by Wolfgang Puck great place to stop during your stay.
This is one of the very few museums in the Capitol that has an admission charge but it is worth the time and fee..
