Take Interstate 85 South, to Gastonia. Take 321 north through Hickory and then Lenoir and up the mountain to Blowing Rock. The Welcome sign to Blowing Rock is your first landmark. -- Directions -- Take Interstate 85 South, to Gastonia. Take 321 north through Hickory and then Lenoir and up the mountain to Blowing Rock. The Welcome sign to Blowing Rock is your first landmark. Proceed on 321 north, taking 321 bypass when the road makes a Y. Follow it to you reach a stoplight and Sunset Drive, with a BP station on the left. Turn left. Go approximately a tenth of a mile. Look for the Blowing rock Cafe on the right and a large Baptist church on the left. Turn left on Ransom Drive.
