Overview
As the Tennessee River flows into the Ohio, the reflection is a unique blend of past and present. Located halfway between St. Louis and Nashville, Paducah maintains the strategic location laid out by its founder, General William Clark, or the famous "Lewis and Clark Expedition", who named his claim after the "Padouca" Indian Nation. Floodwall murals painted by renowned artist Robert Dafford give an artistic account of the city's rich history. Referred to as Quilt City, USA and home of the National Quilt Museum, Paducah is a patchwork of quilting art. Many attractions draw visitors to this quaint river town, but it's the unique hospitality of the community in Paducah that persuades visitors to come back.
