Bolghatty Island: Dutch built Bolghatty palace in 1744 at this island surrounded by backwaters. For the people of Kochi, Bolghatty island is an ideal place to unwind. Now, the palace is functioning as a heritage hotel with a golf course and honeymoon cottages. Bolghatty Island is 2 kms away from the hotel. Chinese Fishing Nets: Though the Chinese nets are historic monuments, people use it for new versions for fishing. Chinese fishing nets are a fascinating sight at the entrance of Cochin harbour.
