| Lindy Promotions, the company best known for Bar Tours and New Year’s Eve events across the mid-Atlantic, is bringing its very first That 80’s Prom to DC!
Relive the 80s on Saturday May 17th, from 8:00pm to 1:00am, on the 13th floor of the National Press Club. This “Prom for adults” will feature a 5 hours open bar, prom style hors d’ouvres, cheesy prom polaroids, Rubik’s Cube contest, Best 80’s outfit contest, multiple rooms of entertainment featuring two dj’s and a huge dance floor, and of course, the announcement of DC’s Prom King & Queen. At www.that80sprom.com, Lindy Promotions will hold an online contest to select DC’s Prom King And Queen. The Winners will each receive two complimentary tickets to the event.
This first annual event is proud to feature the finest in 80’s entertainment, including the original 80’s band, THE ENGLISH BEAT. Also performing will be the 80’s cover band, THE REAGAN YEARS, and DJ John Bowen will be mixing his 80’S VIDEO REWIND.
Tickets are all inclusive and are on sale now! The first 80 tickets will be sold at extremely discounted prices. Additionally, a limited number of VIP tickets are available. | Get ready to fire up the grill and chill a couple of cold ones! The Oz., a unique Zen-themed restaurant that centers its offerings on healthy fine dining, will host a special Father’s Day Cooking Class on Saturday, June 14 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Led by Executive Chef Timothy Jones, this exceptional class will focus on preparing simple, health-conscious cuisine.
Celebrate Father’s Day on the pool deck with a cooking class about barbequing meats using spice rubs and marinades. Get ready to barbeque whole cuts of meat, to grill whole fish and to smoke meats all day. A favorite past-time for father’s across America, this “Thrill on the Grill” class will be a fun-filled day of learning, eating and storytelling around the grill on a rooftop pool deck in beautiful downtown Bethesda.
