Harris Teeter sets Baltimore opening December 8, said to be selling Wine

Say it IS so?! HARRIS TEETER, a grocery chain with stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland and Delaware sets opening date in Baltimore December 8, 2011.The location is in South Baltimore-specifically, McHenry Row, formally known as the Chesapeake Paperboard site in Locust Point. You can see the construction and building coming together as you drive around Key Highway en route to 95 North or South.

Also major news, CITYPEEK hears that they will be selling wine. There are many independently-owned grocery stores that sell wine throughout Maryland. This news regarding, Harris Teeter Baltimore is the first official major chain to sell wine in the Baltimore! A MAJOR MAJOR change woohoo!

"We have three HT's within 5 miles! I love their salad bar and the wine selection is great. Make sure you are an eVic member they have a great rewards program," states Betsy Grody Wattie, living in Charleston, South Carolina.

What it will do to nearby restaurants and shops selling wines-to-go like The Wine Market and the soon-to-be opened 13.6 Wine Bar in SILO POINT Condos and neighboring liquor stores, time will tell.
