Pierpoint opened with the concept of serving Modern Maryland cuisine, at a time when the local cuisine restaurants were dwindling, and Chef Nancy Longo wanted to offer a modern more healthy approach to Maryland cuisine, as well as create new Maryland classics- such as her Smoked Maryland crabcake now known and shipped Globally and Maryland Southern Fried Chicken.
